Welcome to the
Idaho-Nevada Community Development Financial
Institution, Inc. We were founded in 1999 to
provide community development finance for affordable
housing projects and small business ventures.
The Idaho-Nevada CDFI is a Treasury designated Community
Development Financial Institution and a Community Development
Entity. We are a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization
with a board of directors drawn from the banking and
community development industry. Visit the Board
of Directors & Staff page for a listing of
our board, staff and full contact information.
We also own a for-profit corporation, Idaho-Nevada
Finance, LLC. which is a Treasury designated Community
Development Entity.
The CDFI focuses its lending and services in those areas of Idaho and Nevada designated by the U.S. Department of Treasury as CDFI eligible. However, on a case-by-case basis we will consider projects in other intermountain west states which have distinct community development impact.
Over 95% of the CDFI's capital comes from Equity Equivalent
investments provided by banks serving the intermountain
west. Total loan fund capital is over $25 million.
Please visit the investor page in our website to learn
more about the banks and other organizations which
provide us capital.
The CDFI has financed affordable housing and small
business ventures throughout Idaho and Nevada. For
the CDFI, an "affordable" housing project must be one
that provides housing affordable by people making 80%
of countywide median income or less. This is the minimum
standard, most of the rental housing projects we finance
are targeted for people making 60% and in some cases
40% of county median income.
